Celebrating it’s 25th year, the North Cascades Concert Band’s Conductor/Music Director, Robert Pattermann, and the NCCB announce that the theme for the fall concert series will be “North Cascades Concert Band – World Tour” The concerts will be presented Friday evening, December 6, 2019, 7:30 PM at Whatcom Community College’s Syre Student Center, December 7, 2019, 3:00 PM at Anacortes High School’s Student Center, and Sunday afternoon, December 8, 2019, 3:00 PM at Arlington High School’s Byrnes Performing Arts Center.

  Pattermann has chosen musical selections that celebrate the diversity of musical styles from all parts of the world.  The concert will feature music that represents  the music of Latin America,  Africa,  Europe, the Middle East, and of  course, several more  choices  to celebrate the American jazz  and concert band tradition.


Each concert will also feature  community  bands from Whatcom, Skagit and Snohomish counties. Friday evening will be with the Whatcom Wind Ensemble under the direction of  Brad Hendry, Saturday evening with the Skagit Community Band under the direction of  Vince Fejeran, and Sunday afternoon with the Marysville City Band under the direction of  co directors Peter Joseph and Nathan Sachman.


Whatcom Community College is located at 237 W. Kellogg Road in Bellingham; Anacortes Hoigh School is located at 1600 20th St ; and Arlington’s  Byrnes PAC  is located at 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd. .

Admission to the concerts is free, but all donations are greatly appreciated. Donations go to cover expenses for our concerts and also to provide for our  music education college scholarship program and our  grant program for area high schools for the purchase of concert band music.
